Hi guys! Welcome back! I am sorry that I have been MIA this week .. I recorded a YouTube video and I have been having a terrible time trying to edit it. I have started over twice now, so HOPEFULLY it will be up early next week for you guys! But in the mean time, I thought I would do an Bomb or Bust update! You know how it goes – You use a product for a bit, and you have your initial reaction, but we’re gals! Sometimes our opinion changes! I can’t help it! So I am just going to go over real quick some of the products that I have ranted and raved about to discuss how I feel about them now. Are you interested in my update? Keep reading!
Okay – So there have only been a couple Bomb or Bust posts, but I have also talked about other products in my Beauty posts, so I am going to include some of those as well. But, we will start with the Bomb or Bust products! In case you have forgotten, here are the Bomb or Bust Products that I have discussed:
So let’s start with the Nivea Mens Post Shave Balm.
This has been all the rage for the last couple months. Gals everywhere have been using this as a face primer and speaking very highly of it! Of course, being who I am and always wanting to try the newest fads, I did purchase this and try it out. Originally, I decided this product was a BUST. I felt that the product made my skin oily, and did not make my makeup stay any longer, or look any more flawless. I said that I felt this product was not made for oily skin gals, but people with dry skin or normal skin would probably love it.
*UPDATE: So – I still feel the same, somewhat. I do still think that it makes my skin look oily, and does not make my makeup look any better … When I’m wearing liquid foundation. However, when I use my favourite powder foundation, I feel like I like this product much more. When I use a powder foundation, I feel that it dries my skin out a tad. And with this product on my skin first, I feel like it combats the dryness without making my skin more oily. Of course, this doesn’t keep my skin matte at all (But it doesn’t claim to do that!) so I do still need to blot or powder a few times a day… But I do like the product much more than I did originally. Overall, it is still a bust in my mind, just maybe a bit less.
Now onto The Body Shop Seaweed Skin Care Line.
I absolutely LOVED this line when I purchased it. In my original post, I raved about how great each of these products were individually and how I loved them together even more. This line was made for people with combination skin so I figured it would be perfect for me. I read a lot of reviews on this line and I was very eager to try it! After using this line for about a month, I created my original post. I decided this product was BOMB. I loved it, it didn’t break me out, and it made my skin feel so soft.
*UPDATE: Unfortunately, I have changed my mind. I know – I’m upset about it too! After my original post, I noticed that my skin started to break out. I wasn’t sure what it was; The new products, hormones, etc. So I decided to start to eliminate the new products one at a time. Just to see if it was maybe just one of the products or if it was all of them. I started with the mattifying lotion; Because I thought that this was the product that was on my face the longest as I was wearing it all day. My skin was still not happy. So I took away the toner. Still nothing. So I stopped using the line all together. My skin started to clear up. After about a week of not using it, I decided that I would try the toner by itself; I really wanted this to work. I loved how soft and clean the toner made my skin feel but unfortunately, my skin was not havin’ it! Overall, although I really liked this product when I started using it, it has now become a bust for me and I am no longer using it. Which really makes me sad; But I might try out a few more items from the Tea Tree line to see if they are any better for my skin.
Next up: Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer
In my last few posts, I have completely raved about this product. In case you are unaware, my finace purchased this for me during my ‘No Buying Makeup’ 40 days for Lent. I had mentioned wanting to buy it as soon as Lent was over, and then TA-DA I found it in my grocery bag later that day. The first time I used this product, I knew it was going to be a new love of mine.
*UPDATE: Still completely obsessed! This bronzer is my absolute favourite. My go to. The only bronzer I have worn since I got it. I can not get enough of it. It’s the perfect bronzer. I will be buying a million more of these. I can’t even do it justice by raving about it so do yourself a favour, and go pick it up. You’ll thank me. BOMB. That’s all.
Okay, so those are the Bomb or Bust products; Now let’s chat about a few other things I was obsessed with in some previous posts!
Dior DiorSkin Forever Perfect Makeup – Still obsessed. This is my new favourite foundation. If I am doing my makeup, I am grabbing this foundation. I love the way it makes my skin look without being as cakey as the Estee Lauder Double Wear. As expensive as this foundation is, I will definitely be purchasing it again! Overall, still bomb!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – Still obsessed. I wear this mascara everyday. I feel like it makes my lashes look absolutely beautiful without having to put a million coats on. I can do one coat, and my lashes are full of volume and just stunning. Will definitely continue to use this! Overall, bomb!
Benefit The POREfessional Matte Rescue Mattifying Gel – Okay, for those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, you KNOW I love my Benefit primers. The original POREfessional is one of my all time favourites. When I originally tried this primer, I really did love it. I still use it every time I do my makeup, however, I don’t feel like it keeps me as matte as I would like. I do love it and I would still consider it bomb but I just wish that it kept me matte for a longer period of time.
Younique Mineral Touch Pressed Powder Foundation – Seriously… Do I really need to say anything about this?.. BOMB.
ColourPop Lippie Pencil in Aquarius – So, in my January K’s Baes, I mentioned how much I was loving this lippie pencil. I mentioned that the colour was the most beautiful pink/mauve/nude for my skin tone and that I had been wearing it constantly. Now, this is still true … Immediately after I put the lippie pencil on. But after a few hours, it really oxidizes and becomes a much darker brown shade. I don’t hate the colour, but I wish it would stay that beautiful nude shade. This product is still bomb and I will continue to wear it… Maybe just not on it’s own.
Well, was that enough of an update? Most of the products I still dig, but some not as much. I usually can tell pretty quickly how I feel about a product, so for the most part I don’t change my mind. Usually if I love something, I love something. Of course, there are always some exceptions! I hope you guys liked this post and all of my thoughts and updates on these products! Alright, that’s it for now! Chat soon guys! Xoxox
