Hey guys – Thanks for coming back! So today I am going to be reviewing the products that I received in my Ipsy Glam Bag for December! I just received this in the mail yesterday, so the ‘review’ part may be a little weak; But I will tell you what I received and what my first impression of the product was. Would you like to see what was in my Ipsy bag?! …
So, I have a little secret – I knew what I would be getting before I received the bag! I can’t help myself; I always go through and see the sneak peak of the bag for that month. So I was super excited to get some of these products and now that they are in my possession, I can’t wait to use them!
So without further ado, here is my December Ipsy Glam Bag …
Look at the adorable bag; Seriously! It is like perfect for December! It also kind of makes me think of like old Hollywood glam. I’m not sure why, but it does. I think it’s so cute! Now onto the products!
Product #1 …
CoSTUME NATIONAL So Nude Eau de Parfum – So, I have never heard of this brand. But to be honest, I have very select number of perfumes that I love and that I always stick to. The Ipsy website says that the brand is defined as ‘minimal, chic, rock n roll’. Ipsy also says that there are notes of the following scents in this perfume: Cardamom, cumin, ylang ylang, rose and tuberose, cedarwood, patchouli and sandalwood. Now when I read this, all I could think about was “Most of these are my favourite essential oil scents!” So really, I think I am going to really like this perfume. I did like the initial scent from the bottle, I am just hoping that it wears that nicely on my skin. We will have to wait and see!
Next up is the Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick in Tender Heart. Again, I have never heard of this brand, but I feel like that is the beauty of Ipsy, getting to try new brands and products, right?! So, on the Ipsy website, the description of this product says that it is ‘highly-pigmented, and naturally moisturizing’ and that it is ‘packed with vitamins and antioxidants that your lips crave’. When I was checking out my sneak peak of the bag, I was actually excited to get this product. I thought all three of the colours that were being sent out were super pretty, and I was eager to try it out when it was finally in my possession. Let me tell you – I was HIGHLY disappointed! The colour is super orangey and terrible on my skin tone. When I put it on my lips, it didn’t glide on very nicely at all and the way it tasted was not good either. This is going to sound horrible, but this is the only way I can describe this product that some of you gals may understand. Do you remember when you were little, and they had those ‘lipstick kits’ in the dollar stores? They were all weird colours and they tasted like crayons? THAT’S is what this product is like to me. Maybe the one I received was just a bad one, maybe this actually is a great product, but I am definitely not in love.
Next up is the Marc Anthony Hair Care Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment. I am SUPER excited about this product. With the weather getting colder, and with me being a super pansy not wanting to cut my hair (Seriously, it’s getting so long now, I just CAN’T do it!) my hair is super frizzy and dry at the ends; It is like the Ipsy people heard me complaining to my fiancé and sent me the perfect product. This is a deep conditioning treatment that is supposed to help with damage and frizz, and softens hair with deep hydration. Also – I am obsessed with coconut oil, so YAY! I can not wait to try this product out! I will definitely keep you updated on how this product works.
Now onto the products that I am SO excited about!
Elizabeth Mott ‘Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer’! YESSS! I have just lately decided that I need to invest in some eye shadow primers. I have super oily eye lids, and using my concealer as primer doesn’t always cut it. So when I saw this product I was over the moon. I will definitely be trying this product this weekend and letting you know how it goes. The description on Ipsy says that this product is ‘lightweight and crease free’. It also says that this will help ‘prep lids for a smooth and even application’ and ‘intensify eye shadow’. Can not WAIT to see if this product works for me!
And last but DEFINITELY not least …
The Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. Seriously, YES! I can’t even begin to explain my excitement. I have been reading about this powder and stalking it on Sephora’s website for months now. This powder is supposed to be amazing at mattifying skin, shrinking pores and reducing flakiness/dryness. Like are you kidding me!? This is everything I could ever need in one product and I was SO happy that I received it! Now, I can make sure that I love it before I spend the big bucks on the real size! Thank you Ipsy! 😉 Again, I will definitely be trying this product on the weekend and I will let you guys know how amazing it is! (Because I am sure that I am going to be absolutely obsessed with it!)
Okay guys, that’s it for now. I hope you enjoyed the rundown of all of my Ipsy steals for this month! If anyone received some of the same products, please let me know what you think of them! I love hearing others opinions .. Sometimes it helps me with my own!
Anyways, Thanks for reading! Chat soon guys! Xoxox
