My first ER Order with Young Living Essential Oils!

Hi guys!

So its been quite a while since I have added a post to my blog – I just haven’t been up to much and didn’t have a whole lot to share. But – Dont you worry – I am back today with some exciting new information about my Young Living Essential Oils. As I stated in my last post, I have been cheating on makeup with oils. I have had these oils for just over a month now, and I am completely obsessed with them. I think they are so amazing! They smell amazing, and they have really been working for me… For what I have been needing them for. Like mood swings, or headaches, or just wanted to uplift my mood… Does that make sense? I hope so. Okay! Lets just get into this and I can tell you all about my new oils and their uses! YAY!

Young Living Essential Oils has a type of rewards program called Essential Rewards. If you have purchased a Starter Kit, you should definitely sign up for ER; You want discounts on the oils? WHO WOULDN’T! The program works like this: You set up your account, and add the oils that you would like to order. Every month, on the day that you set, it automatically will send you the oils that are on your order. Its amazing! You are able to change the date, and the oils and your method of payment whenever you like. I love this idea because I have so many oils that I want to purchase, and now I can kind of break it up monthly so I don’t spend a million dollars all at once! These are the oils that I ordered for my first Essential Rewards order:

FullSizeRenderOkay – So the names of these might be hard to read but I am going to tell you what each one is and what their suggested uses are.

Lime: UGH! Lime smells SO amazing! Of course it does – Its just like cutting into a fresh lime. I have been diffusing this since I received them. There is just something about it that reminds me of summer .. and Corona .. and relaxation .. You feel me? 😉 Lime is good for ingesting as it is known to support a healthy immune system. Just put a drop in your water daily and feel the effects! Diffused, Lime may help with mental clarity and encourage creativity. It not like a need a ton of creativity or mental clarity in my life – I don’t think I’m that crazy – But once you smell this oil, I’m tellin ya – You’ll be addicted!

Orange: Next on the citrus wagon is Orange! Again – Whats not to love. It smells incredible. So summery and fresh! I love this one too! Orange is known for encouraging relaxation and positive emotions. UM YES! Thats exactly what it does. Reminds me of being in the sun, relaxing .. Need I say more?! I also read that Orange oil can be used to whiten teeth! WHAT! Love this idea. Just put a drop or two on your toothbrush each day and in weeks your teeth will be whiter! Definitely going to try that! 🙂

Geranium: Okay – So before I got into this whole Oil thing .. A friend of mine had a little party at her place to give information and direction to those who were interested in jumping on this band wagon. When I got there, she had a friend who set up a Zyto Scan. This is a scan of your body (Through your hand – Its not like you have to get naked or anything) And it tells you what your body is lacking and what oils you need. When I did my Zyto Scan, I needed two oils – Peppermint and Geranium .. So of course this had to be one of the first oils I bought. To be honest, Im not crazy about the smell. To me, it is WAY too florally … Its kind of gross. But my friend, Val, told me that if I dont like the smell of an oil, that means my body NEEDS it and I should keep using the oil until I like the smell. I hope that I start to like the smell sooner than later because right now .. Its going to be tough to get through it! Geranium is said to be uplifting & calming, and helps reduce negative memories. Its also great for mood swings and cramping that comes along with PMS (So I have read .. And will be testing very soon!) It is also supposed to be great for your skin with an ability to revitalize body tissues as well as great support for your circulatory and nervous systems. There are so many good things about this oil, that I am just going to use this like crazy and deal with the smell until I love it! I feel like thats a fair plan …

Grapefruit: OH MY GOD! I knew when I purchased this oil that it was going to be my go to but I cant even do this oil justice. It smells like heaven. I absolutely love it. I have been diffusing this and Lime together every day when I get home from work. It makes me so happy – So summery and refreshing and not too overpowering; Just the perfect amount of scent! Grapefruit EO is supposed to be great for weight loss as it curbs your appetite. Put a drop in your water everyday, and it is supposed to help. I will definitely be putting this in my water; Because I love the taste.. Not because I want to lose weight… This EO is known to be uplifting and revitalizing, which I can totally agree with!

Jade Lemon: So, Im not going to lie – The only reason I bought this oil was because the Citrus Fresh oil I wanted went out of stock and I needed a fill in. With that being said, I am OBSESSED with the Lemon EO that came in my starter kit, so I figured .. Why not try Jade Lemon. SO happy I did! This smells like a lemon and a lime had a baby! Its amazing. This oil is so versatile; There are like a million uses for it. Other than diffusing this amazing oil for uplifting effects, it can also take gum out of hair, crayon off of walls, grease from surfaces; It can be added to the dishwasher to help keep it fresh and can also be made into an air purifying spray. Honestly, if you own these oils, just go out and get Jade Lemon. You’ll be thanking me! 😉

And last but not least …

Cedarwood: Okay. So far, I hate the smell of this oil. It smells like cat pee … I’m serious. But again, I guess that means that my body needs it so I should use it, but I just don’t know if I’m going to be able to! I bought this oil because I LOVE the smell of wood. My dad is a woodworker and the smell of wood just reminds me of my childhood. Cedarwood is supposed to help with sleeping soundly! It is supposed to calm and relax making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. I loved this idea because my fiance snores like nobody’s business, so I have a hard time staying asleep. I don’t even know if I will be able to diffuse it while Im falling asleep because the smell is so horrid to me. I am going to try it; Mix it with Lavender to hopefully mask the smell a bit. Ill get back to you on that one! 😉

Well, that’s it for now, I guess! I have only had these oils for a few days so of course I will update you once I get a feel for each oil. I can not wait for my next ER order .. I have some really great stuff coming from the States. So keep your eyes peeled next month for that post!

Thanks for reading! Chat soon guys! xox
